Excerpt: Dowsing Around the Block (from A Dowser's Diary)

I was elated with having dowsed the water in my basement. More or less. It’s true that the water was in plain view, but the fact that my rods had signaled “yes” when my foot touched the water meant something. But deep down I wondered: “Was I cheating? Does this count?”

Attributions

I Ching commentaries on my blog are from the classic The I Ching or Book of Changes, translated by Richard Wilhelm with a Forward by Carl Jung, Princeton University Press, 1950. By the way, when selecting entries for my blog, I don't "throw" anything to discover the hexagram - I simply open the book at random and see what's there.
