It's somewhat unthinking of me to suggest you spend nearly 10 minutes watching this video about Nikola Tesla, but I offer it anyway. Tesla, as some of you know, lived in the first half of the 20th century and was a remarkable inventor whose revolutionary ideas have ushered in what some call the "Second Industrial Revolution."
His breakthroughs in electricity, magnetism and wireless technology were of world-changing magnitude. His ideas were so advanced and so revolutionary that powerful men stomped him into penniless obscurity. This video does a fair job of capturing Tesla's story, especially his undoing at the hands of Edison, the financier J.P. Morgan and even J. Edgar Hoover.
From his early years in Serbia, Tesla said his motivation was to make the world a better place for all people, and he dedicated his life to that goal. Here's a synopsis of genius and how it can be destroyed when it threatens the status quo.

Exelent article and great video! What a story of trully devoted life to a science and betterment of mankind.Nicola Tesla was a giant howering way above all of his conteporaries. When hi died alone in his room 3327/he was obsessed with #3 because his compulsive disorder/at"New York Hotel" 1943 something interesting happened.J.Edgard Hoover confiscated all of his posesions claiming them"top sicret"They were 80 trunks with documents, transcripts and drawings."The Big brother"was after the "Big Weapon thing" back then. The name was"The sting ray".Feature of many sci-fictions books, comics and later in movies too.The 'sting ray"originated many years ago and first came to light in the greek sivilization.First who was credited with the introduction was Archimedes/genius mathematician/,who invented a system of polished brass mirrors to set on fire Roman.s ships attacking his natie Syracuse.Let forward to Nicola Tesla time and the 'sting ray" search was under a full steam and claims of discovery of many scientist.Tesla version is based on shooting a streams of atoms generated from his famous"Tesla coil".Due to the seal "Top secret"it is not exactly clear what was found in those seized 80 trunks but FBI did not found "The sting Ray".One rumor has it that just before the raid a Stalin,s secret agent /NKVD later KBG/snuk in and got away with the prised trunk.I guess he was keepin a watch at Tesla,s hotel.Nicola died from a heart failure between january 5 and 8.He was destitute finansialy but beyond our wild dreams rich in inventions and imaginations .His life is a trully example of the one who struggle through life trying to reach the enlightment and knowledge for everybodyies, and on the other end people like J.P.Morgan and J.Hoover who are trying to shackle them. This is a short video -clip but a great tribute to one great human being.
Our world is filled with lies and myths. Keep up the good work of exposing some of them, Gregory. Nicola Tesla was, as the kids all seem to say, awesome.
